some assistance
Interwebs, I need your help.
A while ago I mentioned some career paths I wouldn’t mind taking… While those still hold true, I’m finding more and more that there is definitely something I want to do… but there’s one catch: it doesn’t pay. At all.
I want to volunteer in the education departments at the Shedd Aquarium and Lincoln Park Zoo. However, doing that doesn’t quite cover my living costs.
So that’s why I need your help… Does anyone know any programs that can provide financial support to those choosing to donate their time without pay?? I know that if I do this while in grad school I can just dig a bigger hole of debt and live off loans… But what about right now? How can I live as a full-time volunteer?

Go into MVS or MCC or MNN…I did MVS for 2 years and worked at the Humane Society in Boulder for over a year and now I’m in MNN in London… all making practically nothing, but being a “full time volunteer” in pretty cool cities.

I think my problem is that I want to volunteer to pretty specific places, that don’t currently have plans like that… If MVS would let me stay in Chicago and work at those two places, or put in crazy hours at one of them… then I’d do it… Also, I don’t know if I want to move down to the MVS house in Pilsen… (nothing against it, I just like my area better…)
My Dad and Stepmom’s suggestion was that I take this time to go overseas again…
